How Physiotherapy works?

When is Physiotherapy right for my dog?

Physiotherapy can be a great way for treating dog with the below conditions:

  • Osteoarthritis

  • Hip and elbow dysplasia

  • Post-surgical recovery (Such as TPLO/TTA)

  • Neurological disorders including spinal or disc problems (IVDD)

  • Obesity and weight management

  • Chronic pain and stiffness

  • Muscle atrophy or reduced fitness

  • Treatments are tailored to individual patients but interventions and support included soft tissue massage and release, joint mobilisation, core stabilisation, laser, and hydrotherapy.

  • Many insurance policies do cover the cost of pet treatments. You will need to check your policy to find out if it’s covered, looking for the words "pet therapies”, “hydrotherapy”, "physiotherapy" or "rehabilitation." If you’re not sure if it’s covered please check with your insurance provider.

    Please note: you will need to cover the cost of the treatment up front.

  • Most pets benefit from a series of 3-10 sessions. Your pet’s unique plan will be determined after the initial assessment.

  • The first session will take 1 hour and 15 minutes.  This will include a full assessment, initial treatment and then a plan is made for the care needed. Follow-up sessions will be up to 1 hour depending on your pet’s needs.
